Benjamen Sauder

Director of Western Expansion

Service Regions:

Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas

Ben Sauder is an ag professional dedicated to finding new and innovative ways to grow a crop. From advancing soil and plant health to finding new ways at every corner to gain efficiency.

Ben’s journey started at a young age spending time with his grandpa’s on his farm in western Nebraska. After graduating from college in 1999, Ben embarked on a career in agriculture that would allow him the depth of innovation and continued education he had craved his whole life. In 2002, Ben moved to Imperial and furthered his career working with growers to always find a better way.

For 22 years Ben worked with growers to improve water utilization, increase plant production and fertilizer efficiency. In 2016, Ben assumed the role of VP of Agronomy and continued that for the next 8 seasons. Ben, with the help of an excellent team, was able to experience many firsts. First Autonomous sprayer and spreader, the first Refuge in a Bag field, the first wide scale soil DNA testing and helped build one of the most advanced Precision Ag programs in the US.

Now as Director of Western Expansion for Planet Earth Agronomy, Ben is eternally grateful for the customers that have allowed him to run trials on their farms and adopt technologies that are not mainstream.

Ben and his wife Kayla live in SW Nebraska with their four kids, when not working, he and Kayla are chasing kids to the next FFA event, the next beef or swine show and every sports event imaginable.
